I have been triggering the Stoeger 3500 in Realtree® Max-4™ in 3 ½ inch for one month and so far I can testify that I am shooting better than I have in a long time.
I detected a bit about my shooting that I had overlooked until I started off shooting the 3500. The heftier the gun the better I shoot. I have been testing and shooting Benelli’s for the last three years. This is my first Stoeger and one of the reasons is the model 3500 arrives with a recoil reducer that is a standard item with purchase. The buttstock incorporates a cut cavity that facilitates easy fitting. I took this right from the web site; they said it better than I could. What is does is make the gun heavier reduces recoil and that slows my swing down on airborne waterfowl. In case you did not know Stoeger’s parent company is Benelli.
I benefited from the Benelli’ as a matter of fact they are some of the finest shotguns I have ever snapped a cap. They are lightweight and very smooth but as I found out because of the time away from a heavier gun I would a tendency to swing through my intended target. This speaks only to my own short comings and not the quality of these fine cannons.
The Stoeger is an excellent shotgun with much of the features that Benelli incorporates in their shotguns. The model 3500 bolt assembly includes an inertia spring and rotating locking head, two features that distinguish the bolt as an integral part of an Inertia Driven® System; this is also from the website. Besides the Inertia Driven® System the Stoeger comes with five Choke tubes C, IC, M, F, XFT, with wrench. The Stoeger 3500 is offered in Realtree® APG™, Realtree® Max-4™, or black synthetic. Included is a Red-bar front sight, Recoil Reducer, a Shim Kit, and a Weaver Scope Base. If you are a gobbler hunter it has an Extra Full Turkey choke.
The 3500 does cycle 2 ¾ inch rounds and the minimum recommended load: 3-dram, 1-1/8 ounce. If you decide to use the hot loads on the shelves today we would strongly suggest the recoil reducer. I have cycled 2 ¾, 3, and 3 ½ from Hevi-shot, to the new Winchester Blind Side. Each round jumped in and out swiftly with no glitches.
The Stoeger 3500 in Realtree® Max-4™ is a first-rate shotgun and the more I use the more I appreciate it. The price is another plus for Stoeger the MSRP is $679.00.
Stoeger Model 3500
Magnum Performance and Reliability—the Model 3500 in 3 1/2-inch Magnum
Announcing the new Stoeger M3500 3-1/2-inch, 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun, the latest addition to Stoeger’s line of quality, affordable shotguns for hunters and shooters. Versatility, value and solid reliability make the M3500 the perfect choice for waterfowl, wild turkey or upland game birds. The M3500 handles a full range of loads, from 2-1/4-inch up to the potent 3-1/2-inch Magnum without adjustment. For reliability and performance, no other 3-1/2-inch semi-auto in its price range compares.
At the heart of the Stoeger M3500 is the proven Inertia Driven® operating system; simple and efficient with only three moving parts in the bolt for lightning-fast, reliable operation. Unlike older gas-system guns, the M3500’s Inertia Driven® action is contained primarily within the receiver; giving the Stoeger M3500 a better more centered balance and swing. With no propellant gas venting into the action, the M3500 stays cleaner longer.
Stoeger’s M3500 comes with either a 24-, 26- or 28-inch barrel, fitted with a ventilated, stepped rib and fiber-optic front sight for quick target acquisition, even under low-light hunting conditions. The alloy receiver is drilled and tapped and includes a Weaver-style scope base. All M3500’s come supplied with five choke tubes (Extra-full turkey, Full, Modified, Improved-Cylinder, and Cylinder), shim kit for drop and cast adjustment, and a threaded steel recoil reducer that can be installed in the buttstock to help manage felt recoil from heavy Magnum loads. The M3500 is available in three different finishes — Matte Black synthetic, Realtree® APG™ or Realtree® Max-4®.
The Inertia Driven® System powers the world’s fastest, simplest, and most reliable semi-auto shotguns.
The law of inertia has been harnessed in the Inertia Driven® System, making Stoeger semi-auto shotguns the fastest, simplest, and most reliable.
Newton’s first law of physics, regarding inertia, is consistent and unchanging. And we put it to work for you in the best operating system ever devised.
Reliable – The Inertia Driven System never needs adjusting. It will cycle anything from light field loads to 3-1/2” magnums with consistent reliability year after year. Note: The Model 2000 shoots 3" shells.
Simple – The system has only three primary parts: the bolt body, the inertia spring, and the rotating bolt head.
Fast – With very few parts, the Inertia Driven System is fast.
Clean – Gas, smoke, and burnt powder stay in the barrel where they belong, instead of being channeled into the gun’s mechanism, as they are in gas systems.
Strong – Strong steel locking lugs on the rotating bolt head of the Inertia Driven System lock steel to steel inside the gun barrel.
Low-Maintenance – Gun cleaning takes a fraction of the time, since the system is cleaner.
Lightweight – The Inertia Driven System is incredibly lightweight. Shotguns designed with the system can be some of the lightest ever produced.
Perfect Balance – With no springs, action bar linkage, or heavy gas cylinders under the fore-end, Inertia Driven shotguns balance like a fine game gun should.
The top of the Model 3500 receiver is drilled and tapped to accommodate a Weaver-style scope base included with each gun.
Shim kits come with the Model 3500, allowing for customized drop and cast adjustment to fit each individual shooter.
The Model 3500 features a streamlined fore-end cap with a positive gripping surface and incorporates a sling swivel stud.
Each Model 3500 displays an attractive blue Stoeger logo on the pistol grip cap.
The Model 3500 comes with five choke tubes, including F, M, IC, and C with Extra Full Turkey (XFT).
The model 3500 comes with a red-bar front sight for quick and easy target acquisition even in low light conditions.
The model 3500 bolt assembly includes an inertia spring and rotating locking head, two features that distinguish the bolt as an integral part of an Inertia Driven® System.
The model 3500 comes with a recoil reducer that is a standard item with purchase. The buttstock incorporates a cut cavity that facilitates easy fitting.
