IRISH SETTER Gunflint Hunting Boot
Reviewed
I wore these boots on two pheasant hunting trips in November of 2009. The first day I hunted in South Dakota was a steady light rain that set in and for more than four hours of wet, cold, and muddy trampling through the heavy cover! These Irish Setter boots provided me with dry, comfortable feet that turned out to be the only boots in the group that held up in these extremely wet conditions. I hunted pheasants totaling seven days in South Dakota and Nebraska with a wide variety of weather conditions and I have to say that these boots were the most comfortable hunting boot that I have ever worn! I had approximately 30 minutes of break in period before I put these boots on to chase "Wily Roosters" and was extremely glad that the Redwing Irish Setter boots enhanced the hunting experience!
The tough Irish Setter Gunflint boots deliver high-end performance and features for a price that won't set you back on your heels. The Bulls-Eye™ Air Bob carbon rubber outsoles are engineered to provide more contact area with the ground for improved stability and traction on rough, uneven terrain. Cork-lined EVA midsoles provide all-day comfort to cushion against shock. Sturdy steel shanks deliver added support. Rugged camo nylon uppers with polyurethane-armored leather enhance durability and weather resistance. The Mossy Oak version features 1,000-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation to keep feet warm in cold conditions.
